A well designed timeline can be a very effective instrument of persuasion. It will help jurors understand the sequence of events and the important relationship. It will help them organize the mountain of information. It can be used to guide the jury’s attention and persuade them to adopt your interpretation of the causes and effects.

It is important to remember that studies show (statistically) that more than 60% of jurors are visual learners. Timelines allow you to tell your story visually so that juror attention, understanding and information retention are all significantly increased.
